Coffee Old Fashioned

  • 4 shots espresso (about 4 ounces, room temperature)
  • 2 ounces bourbon or rye whiskey
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • 2 lemon curls
  1. In an ice-filled shaker, combine espresso, bourbon, simple syrup, and bitters. Stir with a bar spoon for 30 seconds. Fill two rocks glasses with ice, and strain cocktail into the glasses. Garnish with lemon peel.
